| Résumé : |
This valuable monograph focuses particular attention on the nervous and hormonal factors controlling spermatogenesis, cogenesis, ovulation, and sex hormone production in mammals and in human subjects. The author discusses the role of ovarian hormones in the hypothalamopituitary ovary negative feedback mechanism, emphasizing experimental studies of agents which block ovulation.
Factors controlling fertilization, cleavage, blastocyst development, and ovum implantation are analyzed. Hormonal and interrelated biochemical factors involved in free ovum development are reviewed in extensor.
The application of these experiments and their implications for present-day methods of fertility control are studied. To all those interested in the biological, biochemical, and physiological aspects of population control, this extensive presentation of present-day animal and clinical investigation will be invaluable. |
